Taking AP Exams

The AP Exam is the opportunity through which students earn college credit. Here are a few things to note about AP Exams:

  • The AP Exam only counts for college credit purposes and will not be a factor in the final grade in the course.
  • The AP Exam is administered at no cost to students in CMS.
  • Students must take the AP Exam the day it is scheduled. If a student has two AP exams occurring at the same time, that student will work with the PHS Testing Coordinator to schedule the second exam.
  • PHS students who do not take the AP Exam will have to take a final exam in the course that would count towards the final grade and pay fees.

Students should be prompt on testing days, arriving at least 30 minutes before the test start time.

Testing Accommodations

Palisades High School is not responsible for providing accommodations for the AP Exam in May. To receive accommodations, students must apply through College Board. Here's a guide to walk you through the process: How To Request Accommodations.
